A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO TECHNOLOGY.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $         or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2018-2019 for the Hawaii technology development corporation to continue providing incubation services to businesses in the State.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the Hawaii technology development corporation for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  (a)  The department of accounting and general services is requested to locate a new site to which the Hawaii technology development corporation may relocate to continue providing incubation services to businesses in the State.

     (b)  The University of Hawaii and department of accounting and general services shall work with the Hawaii technology development corporation in its relocation and transition to the new site.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.

Description:

Appropriates moneys to the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation for its continued operation.  Requests that the Department of Accounting and General Services locate a site to which the Corporation, working with the University of Hawaii and Department of Accounting and General Services, may relocate.  (SB48 HD1)
