A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO ELECTIONS.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  (a)  The elections commission shall, in consultation with the clerk of each county, perform an assessment of whether the election watcher and election observer programs are adequate and, if not, what adjustments are necessary to improve the programs.

     (b)  The elections commission shall submit a report of its assessment, including recommendations and proposed legislation, to the legislature no later than forty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2022.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
