A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-third representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2014-2015:
1. To be expended by the department of accounting and general services:
A. Nanakuli kupuna center, Oahu
Plans and design of a Nanakuli kupuna center.

B. Nanakuli public library, Oahu
Design and construction for the Nanakuli library.
Design $1,200,000
Construction $1,800,000
Total funding $3,000,000
2. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Nanakuli high and intermediate school theatre, Oahu
Plans and construction of a performing arts building and design of a media production area for theatrical plays and various productions.

B. Nanakuli high and intermediate school, Oahu
Plans, design, construction, and equipment for improvements to the stadium and football field, including installation of a score board, visitor bleachers, concession booth, track and field, and Americans with Disabilities Act compliant ramps.

3. To be expended by the department of transportation:
A. Farrington highway and H-1 freeway west Kapolei, Kapolei to Kahe Point, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for roadway and safety improvements, including beautification, and installation of additional concrete barriers, rail guards, and lighting.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2014.
