A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 37, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§37- Appropriations; veto override. Appropriations made in all measures enacted into law by legislative override of a veto by the governor shall be released by the governor no later than one hundred eighty days after the veto is overridden by both houses of the legislature."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2010, and shall be repealed on June 30, 2011.
