A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to transportation.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 291C, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
"§291C- Skateboards; bicycle lanes; use allowed. (a) Notwithstanding section 291C-123, whenever a usable bicycle lane has been provided on a highway, any person operating a skateboard may ride within the bicycle lane in any direction permitted of vehicular traffic traveling on the same side of the highway."
SECTION 2. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
