Stone of the 23rd offered the following amendment:
Amend
the Committee Substitute to SB 321 by amending O.C.G.A. 10-1-351 by inserting
after the word “signed” on line 94, the words “and sworn
affidavit”, and deleting the word “statement”; by inserting
after the word “signed” on line 97, the words “and sworn
affidavit”, and deleting the word “statement”; by inserting
after line 138, the
following:
“(d) It shall be unlawful to make a false statement in executing the affidavit required by paragraphs (6) and (6.1) of subsection (a) of this Code section, and the making of a false statement shall be punishable as an act of false swearing under Code Section 16-10-71.”
