Summary

Providing that a dependent child who lived in the state with a parent before the parent's death and who continues to live in the state with an adult who is not the child's parent while completing the requirements for a high school diploma may qualify as a resident for tuition purposes regardless of whether a parent who does not live in the state claims the minor as a dependent pursuant to federal income tax provisions, etc.
