AN ACT REQUIRING DNA SAMPLES BE TAKEN FROM PERSONS ARRESTED FOR A FELONY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 54 of the general statutes be amended to require any person arrested for the commission of a felony to submit to the taking of a blood or other biological sample for purposes of DNA analysis.
Statement of Purpose:
To improve the accurate identification of persons who commit crimes.
