AN ACT ESTABLISHING A BROKER BETWEEN EB-5 VISA APPLICANTS AND BUSINESSES SEEKING CAPITAL.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 32 of the general statutes be amended to establish a program within the Department of Economic and Community Development that shall act as a broker between applicants for an EB-5 visa for foreign investors and companies or individuals seeking capital. The program shall be funded by a brokerage fee charged by the Department of Economic and Community Development for matching applicants to companies or individuals.

Statement of Purpose:

To establish within the Department of Economic and Community Development a broker that would match foreign investors with businesses or individuals seeking capital.
