AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL POLICE DEPARTMENTS AND ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR PERMITS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
To amend the general statutes to add a defined role for municipal police departments, or the state police if there is no such municipal department, in the renewal of alcoholic liquor permits allowing on- premises serving and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Statement of Purpose:
To expand the role of law enforcement in the liquor permitting process, beyond its currently required approval for the granting of temporary permits.
