AN ACT CONCERNING SPORT HELMET SAFETY INFORMATION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective July 1, 2018) Any manufacturer that sells protective headgear that meets performance standards criteria set forth by the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment may report to the state Department of Education that such protective headgear is certified as meeting the general or sports specific performance standards of said committee. Such report may include the severity index unit score of the headgear.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	July 1, 2018	New section
