AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY CONCERNING THE EFFECTS OF VIOLENT VIDEO GAMES ON CHILD AND ADOLESCENT BEHAVIOR AND DEVELOPMENT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the Department of Public Health, in consultation with the Department of Children and Families and the Department of Education, be required to study the effects of violent video games on child and adolescent behavior and development and report on the results of such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public health not later than February 1, 2018.

Statement of Purpose:

To study the impact of violent video games on children.
