AN ACT CONCERNING CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS FOR STATE EMPLOYEES WHO WORK WITH VULNERABLE POPULATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17a of the general statutes be amended to require periodic criminal background checks of employees of the Departments of Children and Families and Developmental Services who work directly with clients of the departments.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect vulnerable clients of the Departments of Children and Families and Developmental Disabilities.
