AN ACT CONCERNING DEFINED CONTRIBUTION PLANS FOR NEWLY HIRED EMPLOYEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require employers to enroll newly hired employees in a defined contribution retirement plan not later than thirty days from the date of hire.

Statement of Purpose:

To require businesses to enroll workers in a defined contribution plan not later than thirty days from the date of hire.
