AN ACT CONCERNING PRIORITY OF LIENS WHERE PENALTY FOR VIOLATION OF BLIGHT ORDINANCE IS UNPAID.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 7-148aa of the general statutes be amended to provide that liens for unpaid penalties for violating an ordinance regulating blight shall have priority over all other liens and encumbrances on such property.

Statement of Purpose:

To give priority to liens for unpaid violations of blight ordinances.
