AN ACT PERMITTING BUSINESSES AND STATE AGENCIES TO SEEK A DECLARATORY RULING FROM THE ATTORNEY GENERAL.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 4-176 of the general statutes be amended to permit a business or state agency to seek a declaratory ruling from the office of the Attorney General when a business has a bona fide dispute with a state agency concerning the interpretation of a regulation of such agency.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that regulations are interpreted accurately and quickly in order to provide businesses with regulatory predictability.
