AN ACT PREVENTING THE LABOR DEPARTMENT FROM UNILATERALLY INSTITUTING UNEMPLOYMENT TAX INCREASES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Labor Department from implementing broad-based unemployment tax rate increases without the approval of the General Assembly.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide legislative oversight when the Labor Department seeks to implement unemployment tax rate increases.
