AN ACT ESTABLISHING A DECONSTRUCTION PERMITTING PROCESS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require individuals performing deconstruction activities go through state-approved training programs in order to perform such activities, similar to a demolition permit.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide the state with additional licensing fees, ensure the responsible renovation of existing buildings and enhance the health and safety of people working in renovation settings.
