AN ACT CONCERNING AN ENGAGEMENT MODEL OF MENTAL HEALTH CARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 17a of the general statutes be amended to encourage qualified volunteers who have been selected by the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services to develop an engagement model of mental health care that promotes an individuals active engagement in his or her treatment, which includes traditional medical and therapeutic treatment to address the individuals mental health needs.
Statement of Purpose:
To utilize trained volunteers to improve outcomes and reduce the cost of mental health care in the state.
