AN ACT CONCERNING THE NUMBERS AND LETTERS CONTAINED ON MOTOR VEHICLE NUMBER PLATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2010) The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall have the authority to issue motor vehicle number plates, as defined in section 14-1 of the general statutes, that contain not more than seven numbers or seven letters, or any combination of numbers and letters not exceeding a total of seven.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||

Statement of Purpose:
To authorize the issuance of motor vehicle number plates containing up to seven numbers or letters.
