AN ACT CONCERNING THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE ALVIN W. PENN RACIAL PROFILING PROHIBITION ACT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the sum of two and one-half million dollars be appropriated to the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, for the purpose of installing an electronic filing system implementing the universal receipt concept in each police vehicle for information required by the Alvin W. Penn Racial Profiling Prohibition Act and that title 14 of the general statutes be amended to require that the Department of Motor Vehicles provide a one-page summary of said law with each vehicle operator license renewal packet.

Statement of Purpose:

To appropriate funds to provide for an electronic filing system implementing the universal receipt concept in each police vehicle for information required by the Alvin W. Penn Racial Profiling Prohibition Act and to require the Department of Motor Vehicles provide a one-page summary of said law with each vehicle operator license renewal packet.
