AN ACT CONCERNING CERTIFICATION OF ALL HOME HEALTH AIDES AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A STATE-WIDE HOME HEALTH AIDE REGISTRY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 19a-491 of the general statutes be amended to require: (1) All classifications of home health aides to obtain certification from the Department of Public Health; and (2) the Department of Public Health to establish a state-wide registry of home health aides.
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that home health aides have adequate qualifications and training when providing services to state residents.
