AN ACT CONCERNING THE AMOUNT SCHOOL DISTRICTS CAN CHARGE FOR STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN ATHLETIC ACTIVITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit local and regional boards of education from charging (1) more than fifty dollars per student for each athletic activity offered at school, and (2) more than two hundred dollars per family for participation in athletics offered at school in a school year.
Statement of Purpose:
To limit the amount a school district can charge a student for participating in sports programs offered at school.
