AN ACT PROVIDING PERSONS AGE SIXTY-FIVE OR OLDER WITH PERMANENT FISHING LICENSES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. Section 26-28 of the general statutes is amended by adding subsection (g) as follows (Effective from passage):

(NEW) (g) On and after the effective date of this section, any license to sport fish that is issued to a person sixty-five years of age or older who has been a resident of this state for not less than one year shall be a permanent license to sport fish. Such license shall not require the submission of an annual application.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:

To authorize permanent fishing licenses for persons sixty-five and older rather than requiring an annual application for such a license.
