An act to amend Section 13100.1 of the Health and Safety Code, relating to fire protection.

AB 714, as introduced, Maienschein. Fire protection: Office of the State Fire Marshal.
Existing law creates the Office of the State Fire Marshal in the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection to foster, promote and develop ways and means of protecting life and property against fire and panic.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to this provision.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 13100.1 of the Health and Safety Code is amended to read:

13100.1.
 The functions of the office shall be to foster, promote promote, and develop ways and means of protecting life and property against fire and panic.
