An act to add Section 8331.5 to the Streets and Highways Code, relating to public streets or highways.


LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST


AB 332, as introduced, Bocanegra. Vacation of street or highway: illegal dumping.
Existing law authorizes the legislative body of a local agency to summarily vacate a street or highway that has been superseded by relocation or if specified conditions exist.
This bill would authorize the legislative body of a local agency to summarily vacate a street or highway for illegal dumping.

The people of the State of California do enact as follows:


SECTION 1.

 Section 8331.5 is added to the Streets and Highways Code, to read:

8331.5.
 The legislative body of a local agency may summarily vacate a street or highway, pursuant to the authority provided in this chapter, for illegal dumping.
