CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE—
2023–2024 REGULAR SESSION
Assembly Bill
No. 2643
Introduced by Assembly Member Wood |
February 14, 2024 |
An act to amend Section 1052.5 of the Fish and Game Code, relating to fish and wildlife.
LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST
AB 2643, as introduced, Wood.
Fish and wildlife: stamps: license documents.
Existing law requires every person, while engaged in taking any bird, mammal, fish, amphibian, or reptile, to have on their person or in their immediate possession, or where otherwise specifically required by law to be kept, any license, tag, stamp, or permit that is required in order to take the bird, mammal, fish, amphibian, or reptile. Under existing law, stamps issued pursuant to specified laws are not valid unless affixed to the appropriate license document.
This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to the above-described provision involving affixing these stamps.
