A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
proposing an amendment to the constitution of arizona; amending the constitution of arizona by adding article VI.II; relating to the practice of law.

Be it resolved by the Senate of the State of Arizona, the House of Representatives concurring:
1. Article VI.II, Constitution of Arizona, is proposed to be added as follows if approved by the voters and on proclamation of the Governor:
ARTICLE VI.II PRACTICE OF LAW
1. Admission to the practice of law
section 1. A. A person may practice law in this state if the person:
1. Passes the bar examination administered by the committee on examinations of the state bar.
2. Is recommended to the supreme court for admission to the state bar by the committee on character and fitness.
B. The committee on character and fitness may not refuse to recommend a person for admission solely because the person is not a law school graduate.
2. The Secretary of State shall submit this proposition to the voters at the next general election as provided by article XXI, Constitution of Arizona.
