AN ACT
appropriating
monies to the department of transportation.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Appropriation; department of transportation; Interstate 17; widening
The sum of $37,600,000
is appropriated from the state general fund in fiscal year 2020-2021 to the
department of transportation to widen Interstate 17 from three lanes to four
lanes in each direction from State Route 74 to New River. The department may spend the monies only if
the department determines that the federal government will pay at least fifty
percent of the total cost of the project and that an entity other than the
federal government or this state will pay at least ten percent of the total
cost of the project.
