amending title 16, chapter 4, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-407.04; relating to conduct of elections.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 16, chapter 4, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-407.04, to read:

START_STATUTE16-407.04. Low voter turnout elections; voidance; rescheduling

Except for elections with a statewide or FEDERAL office on the ballot, for any election at which less than twenty-five percent of the eligible registered voters cast a ballot, the results of the election are void and the election shall be repeated on an election date with a statewide or federal office on the ballot.
