amending section 16-168.01, Arizona Revised Statutes; relating to registration rolls.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Section 16-168.01, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:

START_STATUTE16-168.01. State contribution to the voter registration system fund; exemption

The county contributions state contribution to the voter registration system fund is established consisting of monies transferred from counties to allocated by the secretary of state pursuant to an agreement between a county and the secretary of state relating to for developing and administering the statewide database of voter registration information required by section 16-168. The secretary of state shall administer the fund.  Monies in the fund are exempt from the provisions of section 35-190 relating to lapsing of appropriations.  Monies in the fund are continuously appropriated to the secretary of state to develop and administer the statewide database of voter registration information.
