AN ACT

 

amending Title 16, chapter 1, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, by adding section 16-140.01; relating to public assistance.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1.  Title 16, chapter 1, article 3, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 16-140.01, to read:

START_STATUTE16-140.01.  Public assistance participants; notice of voter registration eligibility requirements

In any correspondence that references voting or voter registration pursuant to 52 United States Code section 20506 and that is sent to a public assistance participant, any state agency that provides public assistance shall inform the public assistance participant of the voter registration eligibility requirements, including citizenship.
