A BILL to amend and reenact §64-9-1 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to authorizing the Secretary of State to promulgate a legislative rule relating to guidelines and standards for electronic notarization.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 9. Authorization for miscellaneous agencies and boards to promulgate legislative rules.

§64-9-1. Secretary of State.

The legislative rule filed in the State Register on June 25, 2020, authorized under the authority of §39-4-25 of this code, modified by the Secretary of State to meet the objections of the Legislative Rule-Making Review Committee and refiled in the State Register on December 4, 2020, relating to the Secretary of State (guidelines and standards for electronic notarization, 153 CSR 45), is authorized.

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Secretary of State to promulgate a legislative rule relating to guidelines and standards for electronic notarization.
