A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new article, designated §5-30-1, relating to requiring the State Auditor to conduct financial audits of state agencies and departments.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 30. AUDITing of state departments and AGENCIES.


§5-30-1. Authority of State Auditor.

In addition to all other powers granted by this code, the State Auditor has the authority to and shall perform financial audits every two years of all agencies and departments under the executive branch of state government.


 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require the State Auditor to conduct financial audits of state agencies and departments.
