A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §19-1-4e, relating to requiring the Commissioner of Agriculture to develop a pilot program for the cultivation of marijuana to be sold in states where sales are legal.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §19-1-4e, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE.
§19-1-4e. Authority of commissioner to develop a pilot program for the cultivation of marijuana.
The commissioner shall propose rules for legislative approval in accordance with the provisions of article three, chapter twenty-nine-a of this code to develop a pilot program for the cultivation of marijuana in the state that then may be sold in other states where sales are legal.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require the Commissioner of Agriculture to develop a pilot program for the cultivation of marijuana to be sold in states where sales are legal.
§19-1-4e is new; therefore, it has been completely underscored.
