A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §9-2-9a, relating to exempting certain contracts between the Department of Health and Human Resources and West Virginia University or Marshall University from state purchasing requirements.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 2. COMMISSIONER OF HUMAN SERVICES; POWERS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES GENERALLY.


§9-2-9a. Agreements between the secretary and two state universities.

Contracts, agreements and memorandums of understanding for services between the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Resources and West Virginia University or Marshall University are exempt from the provisions of §5A-3-1 et seq. of this code.
