A BILL to repeal §14-2-2
of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to eliminating the
requirement that proceedings against the State, a state agency or state officer
be brought and prosecuted in the circuit court of Kanawha County.
Be it enacted by the
Legislature of West Virginia:
That §14-2-2 of the
Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended be repealed.
§1. Repeal of section
relating to venue for certain suits and actions against the State.
§14-2-2 of the Code of West
Virginia, 1931, as amended, is hereby repealed.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is
to repeal §14-2-2 of the West Virginia Code and to eliminate the requirement
that proceedings against the State, a state agency or state officer be brought
and prosecuted in the circuit court of Kanawha County.
