Summary

The purpose of this bill is to create the position of Executive Director of the Health Care Authority to act as the administrative head of the agency; to change the number and make-up of the board of directors and to clarify their powers and duties; to require that the members of the board of the West Virginia Health Care Authority be employed on a part time basis and that the compensation for board members be set in statute; to eliminate rate review from the Health Care Authority powers and duties.
