Summary

The purpose of this bill is to increase the minimum age for ending compulsory school attendance from age sixteen to age seventeen and to reduce from ten to five the number of days of unexcused absences at which proceeding to enforce attendance begin. This is an interim bill recommended by Education Subcommittee C.
