Summary

The purpose of this chapter is to permit certain part- time employees to be eligible for unemployment compensation benefits. The bill permits employees who have left employment due to being a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking to be eligible for unemployment compensation benefits. The bill permits employees who have left employment to care for disabled or ill immediate family members to be eligible for unemployment compensation benefits. The bill also permits employees who have left employment due to the transfer or relocation of a spouse to be eligible for unemployment compensation benefits.
