Summary

The purpose of this bill is to allow initial responders to possess and administer opioid antagonists in suspected opiate-related overdoses; to ensure opioid antagonists are made available to individuals at risk of overdose, as well as to relatives, friends and caregivers of such individuals; and to establish responsibilities for licensed health care providers that prescribe opioid antagonists. This is a new article; therefore, it has been completely underscored.
