Summary
The purpose of this bill is to provide that student residents of this state, who commute to out of state institutions approved by the board, which have similar reciprocal provisions for awarding scholarships to students attending eligible institutions in this state, may be eligible for the Promise Scholarship Program if the out-of-state institution is not more than fifty miles from the boundary of this state and the student commutes to classes from his or her home in this state.
