A BILL to direct the Department of Elections to develop standards for determining the number and location of voter satellite offices.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. §1. That the Department of Elections shall develop standards for determining (i) the minimum number of voter satellite offices to be established in a county or city and (ii) the relative location of such satellite offices pursuant to §24.2-701.2 of the Code of Virginia. Such standards shall take into account a county or city's population of registered voters, population density and distribution, proximity to major transportation corridors, and access to public transportation.
