Summary

Claims; Howard M. and Inez O. Berry. Provides $400,000 in relief to Howard M. and Inez O. Berry of Midlothian, Virginia. The Berrys' daughter, Jo Ann Berry, was killed in an automobile accident in 1977 caused by a juvenile driver. The driver was charged with involuntary manslaughter, but the case never went to trial. The Berrys could not get any information on the disposition of the case because of the driver's status as a minor and were told they would have to wait for 20 years. When the Berrys attempted to get the information in 1999, they discovered that the records had been destroyed.
