Summary

Expresses deepest sympathies and solidarity to the people and government of Chile following the massive earthquake of February 27, 2010. Applauds the friendship between the governments and people of the United States and Chile and recommits to cooperation in bilateral, multilateral, and Hemispheric contexts. Encourages: (1) the U.S. government to offer all appropriate assistance to aid in the government of Chile's rescue and recovery efforts; and (2) the international community to join in relief efforts.
