Summary

Altamont Corridor Rail Improvement Act of 2011 - Authorizes the Altamont Corridor Rail Project (California) for final design and construction of a new fixed guideway for FY2011-FY2021. Authorizes the Secretary of Transportation (DOT) to make allocations for capital investment grants for such fiscal years for any remaining preliminary engineering and final design and construction of the Project. Allows for the use of any alternative analysis or environmental impact report relating the Project to satisfy Federal Railroad Administration capital assistance requirements for new fixed guideway capital projects.
