| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Trinity Gardens Church of Christ on the grand occasion | ||
| of its 60th anniversary, which is being celebrated August 3, | ||
| 2013; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The church was established in 1953 as an outreach | ||
| ministry of North Wayside Church of Christ by the late Brother M. | ||
| C. Daniels, Sr., and his wife, Trudy Daniels; it was incorporated | ||
| as Trinity Gardens Church of Christ in 1968; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Though this beloved church had humble beginnings | ||
| at a member's home, the congregation has grown to include some | ||
| 1,200 members, and the church campus now encompasses more than | ||
| 36,000 square feet of facility space on nine acres of land; and | ||
| WHEREAS, As a dedicated community partner, Trinity Gardens | ||
| Church of Christ offers a variety of outreach services and | ||
| recently provided space for the new Trinity Gardens Community | ||
| Playground and Garden; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The commemoration of its 60th anniversary is an | ||
| expression of the church's enduring commitment to its mission of | ||
| providing enlightenment and hope to its congregation and the | ||
| community; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby extend best wishes to the | ||
| ministers and members of Trinity Gardens Church of Christ on the | ||
| joyous occasion of its 60th anniversary; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| the church as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. | ||
