Stephanie Ann Brown | ||
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the | ||
citizens of San Antonio and Texans across the state in mourning | ||
the loss of Officer Stephanie Ann Brown, who died March 15, 2011, | ||
at the age of 27; and | ||
WHEREAS, A three-year veteran of the San Antonio Police | ||
Department, Officer Stephanie Brown lost her life while serving | ||
in the line of duty; her death is a tragic reminder of the | ||
sacrifices made daily by peace officers and their families; and | ||
WHEREAS, Stephanie was born in 1983 in Bitburg, Georgia, | ||
the daughter of Officer Stanley Brown and Shawn Brown; she was | ||
raised in San Antonio and graduated from Southwest High School | ||
in 2002; she attended The University of Texas at Austin, Palo | ||
Alto College, and Northwest Vista College and was pursuing a | ||
degree in kinesiology; and | ||
WHEREAS, She joined the San Antonio Police Department on | ||
May 19, 2008, and graduated from the academy on December 19, | ||
2008; after completing her field training, she was assigned to | ||
the Central Substation; she was a dedicated police officer and | ||
was noted for her kindness, her courage, and her reliability, and | ||
she was admired and respected by her colleagues and by all who | ||
knew her; and | ||
WHEREAS, Stephanie was a loving mother, a devoted | ||
daughter, and a loyal sister, and she leaves behind memories that | ||
will be cherished always by her family and her many friends; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd | ||
Legislature, hereby pay tribute to the life of Stephanie Ann | ||
Brown and extend sincere condolences to her bereaved family; and, | ||
be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas | ||
Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in | ||
memory of San Antonio Police Officer Stephanie Ann Brown. | ||
