WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Dee Lois | ||
Judy of Longview, who passed away on January 26, 2023, at the age of | ||
92; and | ||
WHEREAS, The daughter of John Wesley and Winnie Marberry, the | ||
former Dee Marberry was born on November 10, 1930, in Kirvin and | ||
grew up sharing in the companionship of a brother, John Wesley, and | ||
three sisters, Peggy Ruth, Mary, and Betty; she attended Kilgore | ||
High School, where she met her future husband, R. C. Judy Jr., and | ||
following graduation, she continued her education at Kilgore | ||
College and became a Rangerette; and | ||
WHEREAS, This beloved woman married Mr. Judy on June 13, | ||
1948, and the couple went on to work together for years as the | ||
owners of Longview Fish and Oyster Co.; in addition to helping run | ||
the company, Mrs. Judy was a devoted mother to their two sons, Steve | ||
and Keith, supporting them in all of their sports and other | ||
activities; with the passing years, Mrs. Judy was further blessed | ||
with four grandchildren, Chris, Trey, Jennifer, and Jeff, and five | ||
great-grandchildren, Maddox, Major, Walker, Keatyn, and Kendyl, | ||
with whom she treasured spending many special occasions; and | ||
WHEREAS, Strong in her faith, Mrs. Judy was a lifetime member | ||
of First Baptist Church Longview; she was also an honorary lifetime | ||
member of the Longview Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks; and | ||
WHEREAS, Dee Judy lived a full and generous life surrounded | ||
by those she loved, and they will forever carry her close in their | ||
hearts; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature | ||
hereby pay tribute to the memory of Dee Lois Judy and extend sincere | ||
condolences to the members of her family: to her husband, | ||
R. C. Judy Jr.; to her sons, Steve Judy and his wife, Carole, and | ||
Keith Judy and his wife, Carol; to her grandchildren, Chris Judy, | ||
Trey Judy and his wife, Wendy, Jennifer Peltier and her husband, | ||
Jeff, and Jeff Judy and his wife, Chelsea; to her | ||
great-grandchildren, Maddox and Major Judy and Walker, Keatyn, and | ||
Kendyl Peltier; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be | ||
it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas Senate adjourns this | ||
day, it do so in memory of Dee Judy. |
