WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
recognize Kresten L. Cook, who is retiring after more than 30 | ||
years of loyal service as deputy to the commander of the Corpus | ||
Christi Army Depot; and | ||
WHEREAS, Kresten Cook began his career at the Corpus | ||
Christi Army Depot as an industrial engineer in 1983, and he | ||
advanced into several leadership positions in such areas as | ||
engineering, business development, and production; he served as | ||
acting deputy to the commander in 2003 and was promoted to head of | ||
maintenance operations in 2010; he is retiring after more than | ||
six years of service as the permanent deputy to the | ||
commander; and | ||
WHEREAS, Over the course of his exemplary career, Mr. Cook | ||
has gained recognition for initiating the Business Development | ||
Office, establishing the first partnerships between the depot | ||
and original equipment manufacturers, and leading the depot's | ||
Production Control and Programs Divisions; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Cook is a distinguished leader who is highly | ||
respected by his colleagues; he has helped to set new standards | ||
for success at the Corpus Christi Army Depot, and his presence | ||
will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 85th | ||
Legislature, hereby commend Kresten L. Cook on his exemplary | ||
career at the Corpus Christi Army Depot and extend to him best | ||
wishes in all his future endeavors; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
